Website privacy

Clear choices about what this website collects.

This page explains the website and consultation form. Privacy and consent for therapy services are discussed separately before or during the first appointment.

Consultation requests

The consultation form asks for your name, a way to reply, the general service you are asking about, and an optional short message. The information is sent through the website's hosting provider and email delivery provider to support@gentleheartstherapy.ca. The website does not save consultation requests in a separate public-facing database.

Please share only what is needed to arrange a reply. Avoid including diagnoses, detailed health history, trauma details, or urgent safety information in the first message. Email and website forms are not appropriate for emergencies.

Optional website measurement

Optional Google Ads measurement is off unless you select “Allow optional measurement.” If you allow it, the site can record general actions such as selecting a consultation link, phone link, email link, directory link, or successfully sending the consultation form. Form answers, selected services, names, email addresses, phone numbers, and message text are never intentionally sent as measurement events.

Advertising personalization and ad-user-data signals remain disabled. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Basic hosting information

Like most websites, the hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs. This information may also be processed when you follow an external link.

Third-party services

The site may link to Psychology Today, phone, and email services. Those services have their own privacy practices. The consultation form uses website hosting and transactional email providers to deliver your request.

Questions or requests

To ask a privacy question or request access to or correction of information you have submitted through the site, email support@gentleheartstherapy.ca or call (365) 598-5920.

Not for emergencies. This site and its contact form are not monitored as crisis services. If you are in immediate danger or crisis, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
